Title: If You Desire to Be an Instructional Leader, Stand Out and be Noticed
AQTS: Standards 4, 5
Focus: This workshop will focus on educators who desire to be instructional leaders. Participants will leave with the tools necessary to stand out from the rest and be noticed.

Keeping Students Engage Through Formative Assessments!
AQTS: Standards 1, 2, 3,
Focus: Learn research-based practices for using quality formative assessments aligned with solid grading practices, and enjoy the confidence that comes from knowing your instructional decisions are based on sound assessment data.

Session Title: Motivating Students Who Don’t Want to Learn
AQTS: Standards 1,2, 3
Focus: Are you tired of students coming to class unprepared? Constantly dealing with disruptive, troubled, or unmanageable students? This session will discuss effective strategies to grab students’ attention and motivate reluctant learners. Participants will receive information on how to handle behaviors commonly observed in troubled students, and appropriate resources to use. Teachers who participate in this session will be entered in a drawing to win free resources to help motivate students.

Focus: Explore the process of incorporating purposeful planning, multiple strategies, connected strategies and explicit instruction to maximize the understanding and retention of content material

Title: Things School Administrators Want Teachers and other Administrators to Know and Do
AQTS: Standards 2, 3
Focus: This interactive workshop will help teachers, assistant principals, principals and central office personnel understand what superintendents and other leaders are expecting from them in their defined role.

Title: Strategies to Help Parents Become Involved
AQTS: Standards 1, 2, 3
Focus: Parent involvement increases self-esteem and student achievement. This workshop will offer teachers simple strategies to help parents become more and stay actively involved with their child’s education, and work in a more positive and meaningful way with schools.

Title: Effective Communication for Leaders
AQTS: Standards 2, 3
Focus: This workshop will offer new ideas for Effective Communication in the workplace and allow participants to think internally how others perceive them and the hidden signals they may or may not be sending intentionally or unintentionally.
